How Jackson Hinkle transformed from failed political candidate to Kremlin propagandist and why his story reveals the sophisticated machinery of foreign influence
Very insightful, thank you. Listening to the news from some main media outlets such as France 24 one gets the impression that a bit of what Hinckle et al peddle could be the truth mixed with lies to make the lies believable.
Well, this exemplifies what I've been saying all along:
"Social media is the worst scourge to ever be foisted upon the Earth, in the history of the Earth."
(You can quote me on that, just please give me proper credit. This is NOT the first time it place I've posted / published it.)
But, since I've recently learned that evidence continues to be uncovered showing advanced societies that existed longer ago (>10, 000 years) than previously known, I'm considering removing the part "in the history of the Earth," because I simply don't know. I like to be factual.
----------------
I am amazed and surprised to find out that Hinkle was ever considered an "influencer," but that also proves my point.
When people learn to think for themselves, things like that won't happen.
People like Hinkle might still become "foreign assets," but they won't have the same effect on others.
(It boggles my mind to find out how many followers he had! I mean, supposedly "intelligent" adults?!!!)
How did our society get this way? I have a theory:
When everyone started having to "have what everyone else has."
That has evolved into a need to "think like everyone else."
This need for external approval is creating several generations of idiots, people wandering through life without any real goals. They might THINK they have goals, but when they attain them, they realize they're not happy, because they were "expecting something else."
It ALWAYS boils down to the need for external acceptance and approval.
It's "chasing likes," and "wanting social approval."
But, true happiness comes from within!
I've seen few articles (blogs, posts, whatever you want to call them) where someone reached their "middle age" and FINALLY figured it out, but I think it mostly falls on deaf ears. Most people are just not ready to hear it.
I think I blame the advertising industry (since the 1960s when TV became an industry).
From there, they've taken over all media, of even from, including billboards.
(The most effective billboards simply remind you of a video you've seen somewhere else. Think about it.)
Social media has a real grip on many people!
Then....
From "NEEDING to have a product, because EVERYONE ELSE has it," it's really only a small step to wanting, even NEEDING validation from others, and wanting to think like everyone else.
It's true.
People, learn to think for yourselves!
Stop seeking outside validation! Be the kind of person that has empathy for others, has standards of behavior, principles, etc.
Try this:
Find a person in history (if you don't know someone like that), and emulate them until you are just like them.
Like, someone who supports the kind of things that build cooperative civilization.
It'll end up making you a real human being, worthy of the rest of society.
And don't be so damn gullible! Learn to think, and think for yourselves!
Sorry for the long rant, but I think it needed to be stated!

Unbelievably depressing, but undeniable.
So, where's the $$ incentive pipeline? Something akin to Youtube selling, perhaps? He can't be living off the "glory" of being an "influencer" alone.
This reframes what I perceive to be a domestic psychological operation, because only the domestic components are somewhat visible from my frame.
Thank you for helping tie things together into a more complete, and coherent, framework.
Your level of awareness and discernment is top notch and this is reflected in your writing.
I’ll be following your posts more closely from now on.
