Justice Served Cold: A&W's Vanilla Claim Leaves a Bitter Taste
A&W's artificial vanilla claim leads to a $15 million settlement. Discover the details of the lawsuit and how you can receive your share.
My two great treats in life are baked beans and vanilla ice-cream.
A recent class-action lawsuit against A&W has revealed that the beverage company was selling root beer and cream soda labeled as “Made With Aged Vanilla,” even though the beverages weren’t really made with aged vanilla. Here's what you need to know and how you can claim your share of the settlement.
A&W's claim of using "aged vanilla" in their root beer and cream soda was found to be misleading. Instead of real aged vanilla, they used a substance called ethyl vanillin, an artificial vanilla flavoring. Three brave defendants took a stand, and A&W is now settling for $15 million.
You might be eligible for a settlement cut if you bought a “Made With Aged Vanilla” A&W root beer or cream soda anytime between February 2016 and June 2023. The best part? You don't have to provide proof of purchase to receive at least $5.50. If you and your partner both submit claims, that’s $11 in free money. If you have proof of purchase, you can get up to $25 per person. Submit your claim online here by Oct. 18.
It doesn't stop with A&W. Google and Facebook have also settled class-action lawsuits, and you might be eligible for compensation. Google owes money for violating privacy between 2006 and 2013, and Facebook settled a massive lawsuit over privacy practices. Check the deadlines and file your claims.
This A&W lawsuit is more than just about vanilla; it's about holding companies accountable for their claims. As moms, we must be vigilant and stand up against deceptive practices. Whether it's Big Tech, Big Pharma, or a beverage company, we have the power to seek justice.
Don't let this opportunity slip away. File your claims and let your voice be heard. Together, we can make a difference and ensure that justice is served, one sip at a time.
