🪩Israel Hits IRGC While America Clutches Its Pearls
The Middle East just got spicy, and everyone's pretending to be shocked
Moments ago, Israel launched Operation “Rising Lion”, a targeted military operation to roll back the Iranian threat to Israel's very survival. This operation will continue for as many days as it takes to remove this threat. Statement by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu:
So Israel went and did it. Yesterday evening, while you were probably doom-scrolling TikTok or arguing about which Marvel movie is least terrible, Benjamin Netanyahu decided to play some very expensive fireworks with Iran's nuclear facilities. "Operation Rising Lion" because apparently military operations need branding now, like they're launching a new energy drink.
The results? A few dead Iranian generals, some crispy nuclear scientists, and Tehran looking like someone's particularly aggressive gender reveal party went sideways. Netanyahu's justification was peak Bibi: "If we don't act now, there will not be another generation." Dramatic? Absolutely. Wrong? Only if you think letting religious fanatics who've been actively trying to murder Americans for decades build nukes is a stellar idea.
America Finally Remembers Who The Real Enemy Is
Here's where it gets interesting. America, which has been dealing with Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps terrorism for literally decades, suddenly remembered that maybe supporting your democratic ally isn't the worst idea ever. These are the same IRGC psychos who killed 241 American servicemen in Beirut in 1983, orchestrated IED attacks on American troops in Iraq, and have been playing footsie with every anti-American terrorist group from Hezbollah to the Houthis.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio, showing rare diplomatic spine, basically said "we're keeping our people safe but we're not exactly crying about dead IRGC commanders." Translation: Israel just did America's homework for us, and we're not mad about it.
President Trump, in classic Trump fashion, managed to be both supportive and non-committal at the same time. The man could probably endorse a ham sandwich while keeping his options open. But the smart senators like John Thune are finally saying what everyone's been thinking: Iran getting nukes is a hard no, and Israel just prevented World War III.
Meanwhile, some campus Hamas fans are probably crying into their keffiyehs right now, which is honestly the best part of this whole story.
Iran Promises Revenge (Color Us Terrified)
In absolutely shocking news that surprised literally no one with two functioning brain cells, Iran is big mad about getting their nuclear toys broken and promises "decisive" retaliation. This is the same regime that's been promising to wipe Israel off the map since disco was cool and has been actively trying to kill Americans longer than most college kids have been alive.
The Revolutionary Guard Corps, Iran's version of the world's most dangerous death cult masquerading as a military, lost some key players including Gen. Hossein Salami. These weren't random casualties; Israel specifically targeted the guys who spend their days figuring out how to smuggle explosives to terrorists and plot attacks on American bases. You know, the same IRGC that's been designated a terrorist organization by pretty much everyone with sense.
Fun fact: These are the same charming fellows who've been supplying weapons to kill American soldiers, funding proxy wars across the Middle East, and teaching Hamas how to build better rockets. But sure, let's all clutch our pearls about "escalation."
Europe Continues Being Useless
The European Union, showing their usual impressive commitment to moral clarity, is somewhere in the background making disappointed European noises and calling for "restraint from all parties." Because apparently they think you can have a reasonable discussion with people who literally chant "Death to America" at state rallies and have been funding terrorism across two continents.
This is the same EU that's been trying to rehabilitate Iran's image for years while conveniently ignoring all those dead Americans courtesy of IRGC operations. It's like watching someone try to negotiate with a rabid dog while insisting it's just misunderstood.
Back home, we need to keep an eye on our own Hamas cheerleaders on college campuses who are probably already planning their next "Free Palestine" tantrum complete with calls for more Jewish blood. Because nothing says "academic discourse" like supporting the same terrorists who just got their Iranian sugar daddies crispy fried.
The Uncomfortable Truth Everyone Ignores
Nobody wants another Middle East conflict, but here's the thing everyone's too polite to mention: Iran has been waging war on America and Israel for forty years. They just never bothered to formally declare it. The IRGC has more American blood on its hands than most terrorist organizations we've actually bothered to fight.
Israel, being a functioning democracy roughly the size of New Jersey surrounded by people who want to genocide them, doesn't have the luxury of hoping the bad guys will suddenly develop a conscience. When the same regime that killed hundreds of Americans keeps building nukes while promising to use them, at some point you stop pretending diplomacy is going to work.
Plus, let's be honest: watching Israel do what America should have done years ago is oddly satisfying. They just saved us from having to deal with a nuclear Iran later, probably with a lot more casualties.
What Happens Next (Spoiler: More Fireworks)
Iran will definitely retaliate because saving face is more important than saving lives when you're a theocratic dictatorship. Israel will probably hit back even harder because they're good at this whole "not dying" thing. America might actually remember that supporting our allies who fight our enemies is probably smart policy.
The really fun part will be watching campus radicals try to spin this as somehow Israel's fault while conveniently ignoring that their beloved "resistance" movement just lost its main weapons supplier. Expect a lot of very upset trust fund kids holding signs about "imperialism" while their parents' tax dollars helped pay for the missiles that just saved everyone from nuclear terrorism.
Meanwhile, every reasonable person in America should be sending Netanyahu a thank you card. The guy just prevented Iran from nuking anyone they felt like, probably saved American lives, and did it without asking us to pay for it.
Now back to your regularly scheduled programming of whatever celebrity nonsense is trending and TikTok dance crazes. Because apparently that's what passes for news when someone isn't literally preventing nuclear holocaust.
Sometimes you have to believe your enemies. They say they are going to destroy Israel and the U.S. and they tell us they are just weeks away from nuclear weapons. Do we dare not believe them?
Dripping with condescension, this piece - Trump has been very clear on his stance that Iran must never have nukes these past 10 years. He did the diplomatic surgical excising of Iran’s financial capabilities in his last administration. Israel and the US have consistently worked together while Trump has been in the White House. American weapons have been made available to Israel. Yeah, we have a really bad infiltration within our Marxist funded universities spewing disgusting anti-Israel and anti-America rhetoric that we’re dealing with.
Clutching our pearls? Not the patriots who understand the consequences of not standing up to Iran. There are precious lives in Israel and also in the general population in Iran. Regime change in Iran would be the optimal outcome. In my opinion, America should exert effort to bring this about seeing as the Carter administration overthrew the Shah allowing this evil violent regime to come to power.
